$7 million coach

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh is receiving $2 million a year on top of his base salary of $5 million.

The raise is actually the $2 million annual premium the university is paying on a life insurance policy on Harbaugh. Michigan will make the payment each year from 2016 through 2021 if Harbaugh is coaching the Wolverines on Dec. 6 of those years.
