Vote for Block and back transparency, integrity
JAY BLOCK will be a breath of fresh air on the Sandoval County Commission, and we need some new ideas and refreshing integrity on the commission. That’s why I endorse him for Commission District 2. His proposed policies will favorably impact our families, schools and businesses.
Block speaks out against adding more “bloatocracy” to county government. Rather, he favors providing more support for first responders instead of adding administrators. Block believes our first responders, who put their lives on the line every day, should be fully funded while some on the commission support a new, six-figure assistant county manager position that has never been on the books and is not needed.
He is a leader of integrity who understands that government’s role is servant of, not master over, the governed. Block is a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel who served with honor and distinction in Afghanistan from 2005-06, and as a commander representing our country in the Netherlands and Ascension Island in the South Atlantic. He knows what it means to lead and fight for what is right. A vote for Block is a vote for integrity, accountability and transparency.
Block has little patience with elected officials whose behavior violates the public trust and he believes there is no place for scofflaws at any level of public service. He actively calls for the resignation of scofflaws who are in elected or appointed positions.
He supports reasonable and responsible economic development that gives everyone a fair chance to make a good living and raise a family in a safe community, also recognizing the need to maintain the small-town feeling that we enjoy in Sandoval County. He acknowledges and wants to preserve the uniqueness of Corrales, and believes that it should remain a beautiful, vital community where we can choose our own economic development path that is consistent with the living environment that Corraleños have come to love and respect.
