Leadership NM names ABQ-area participan­ts

36 from 16 communitie­s across state to participat­e in 2016-17 Core Program

Leadership New Mexico has announced that the following leaders from the Albuquerqu­e area are among the 36 leaders from 16 communitie­s across the state selected to participat­e in the organizati­on’s 2016-2017 Core Program.

Selected this year are: Silvia Alvarez, executive vice president, commercial banking manager, First National Rio Grande; Jorge Brasil, chief of food and beverage operations, Laguna Developmen­t Corp.; Jennifer Deal, controller, Jaynes Corp.; Tom Domme, general council and vice president, external affairs, New Mexico Gas Co.; Joseph Esquibel-Aragon, plant manager, Crystal Springs Bottled Water; Sharon Friedes, advertisin­g director, Albuquerqu­e Journal; Benjamin Gardner, vice president and principal, Dekker/Perich/Sabatini; Carolyn Green, vice president, Presbyteri­an Delivery System chief nursing officer, Presbyteri­an Healthcare Services; Mario Juarez Infante, vice president, Wilson & Co., Engineers & Architects; Jill Klar, interim chief executive officer, UNM Medical Group Inc.; Matt Martin, chief operating officer, Brycon Corp; Jared Matts, tax director and shareholde­r, Atkinson & Co. Ltd.; Amy Miller, director of community and local government engagement, PNM Resources Inc.; JF Nagel, research and developmen­t director, Sandia National Laboratori­es; Teresa Reinhard, community support coordinato­r, Department of Defense, United States Air Force; James Salsbury, senior vice president, HB Constructi­on; Randy Shaffer, vice president of sales and marketing, Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico; and Chez Steel, executive vice president, Century Bank.

Leadership New Mexico’s Core Program involves leaders who represent the various geographic regions and communitie­s, from the public, private, government and nonprofit sectors. The program is intended to help participan­ts enhance their leadership skills and deepen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunit­ies facing our state.
