Patricia (Pat) Pardue La Bauve, formerly of Los Alamos, died on September 23, 2016 at her home in Corrales, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Raphael La Bauve and her daughter Renee La Bauve, both of Corrales, NM; her son Raphael (Joe) La Bauve and her daughter-in-law Anna (nee Moore) of Santa Fe, NM. She is also survived by her grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren: Elisa (Sadie) La Bauve, her husband Kirk Kiracofe and their son Finneus, of Albuquerqu­e; Claire La Bauve, her husband Francisco Roybal and their son Charlie of Venice Beach, CA; and Annette La Bauve of Hayward, CA; as well as many nieces and nephews. Pat was born in 1921; her parents were Dr. Cleveland H. Pardue and Esther Marston Pardue of Vivian, Louisiana. Her parents and her siblings, Cleveland Pardue Jr. and Barbara Pardue Henderson, preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University and early in her career she worked in the 1977. medical technology field for the State of Louisiana, for the Army at Keesler Field, Biloxi, MS, and at the Highland Sanitarium in Shreveport, LA. She spent the major part of her career as a staff member at Los Alamos National Laboratory, working in the field of bio-medical and particular­ly genetic research. She retired in With her husband Raphael she enjoyed travel, gardening and particular­ly music. She played the recorder, attended early music workshops and gave classes. She and Raphe enjoyed playing early music with various groups of musician friends. They also enjoyed cooking and entertaini­ng, and made a number of trips together, both abroad and around the US. Pat also enjoyed sewing, painting and flower arranging, and was a longtime member and volunteer at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church at Los Alamos. A memorial service for Pat will be held on 20 October, 10:30 at the Old San Ysidro Church, 973 Old Church Road, in Corrales, NM.
