L y n n Allenswort­h, 73, of Albuquerqu­e, NM peacefully passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 surrounded by family and friends who loved her. Although she had battled valiantly against Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years, and survived lymphoma, she succumbed to a ruptured brain aneurism.

Lynn Claire Abrams was born in Queens, NY on March 9, 1943 to Joseph Abrams and Katherine Twomey. She is survived by her daughters Stacey Lynn Allenswort­h Tuttle, Kerri Lee Allenswort­h, and Brooke Marie Allenswort­h; and grandchild­ren Jacob Fox Downey, Sydni Alynn Peck, Hunter Russell Peck, and Sierra Dylan Glascock. She joins Dwight Lee Allenswort­h, and Lorriane Ann (Lonnie) Steele who preceded her in death. Lynn received her BA from the University of New Mexico, and taught health and science to thousands of middle school children during her 30+ year tenure in the Albuquerqu­e Public School system, touching and influencin­g many young lives in a career that she loved. She lived her life with dignity to the end living independen­tly and spending time with her loved ones, friends and beloved Jack Russell Terriers; Simone, Snoopy and Tebo. Everyone who knew Lynn knew she was special and unique. She had a quirky sense of humor and an incredible love of animals. She loved bowling, softball, camping and working around the house, yard and garden.

Lynn was a beloved Mother, Memaw, friend, teacher and coach. Truly one of a kind! She was always smiling and never knew a stranger.
