the person who wanted to know what the expectations were of Lobo fans the answer is simple: Many will never be happy as they choose to live miserable and unhappy lives. It’s time to fire Coach Fishbein and also the Women’s Cross Country coach as they both failed to meet expectations this season after all. In reality it could be 75 degrees and sunny and many Lobo fans would complain about the weather! — John R, Los Lunas

BOB DAVIE was 6-3 after 9 games and a horrible schedule with 2 of his losses coming against bottom 20 worst teams in the country. Bob Davie is a hero for playing a lousy team in a meaningless bowl game. Craig Neal is 6-3 against a decent schedule and no bad losses like a NMSU/Rutgers and just won a rivalry game but he is lambasted by the fans. What is wrong with this picture? — NM native THE LOBO FOOTBALL team had a great year and deserved to be matched against a team with a comparable record. I don’t think teams without a winning record deserve a bowl bid, unless by some miracle they won their conference title. The Lobos have been put into a lose lose situation, and the New Mexico Bowl has not created a matchup that will draw a big crowd . — Larry of Corrales

I’LL BEAT A dead horse. As long as Bob Davie is UNM coach, I will not support lobo football because of all the deserving NM kids that were not given a scholarship. New Mexicans ticket dollars are good enough for Davie but not its athletes. You get 16,000 fans for a reason Coach Davie. — Fred Jaramillo

ESPN HAS plenty of practice over the years of angling crowd shots at University Stadium to make it look like there a lot of fans in the stands. — Robert, Albuquerque
