Carter, Roland

Roland Carter, USAF retired, age 83, born in Pena Blanca, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Isabel; two daughters, Yvette Ybarra and husband, Trinidad Jr., and Carmel Carter; sister, Evelyn C. Torres and husband, Manuel; three grandchildren, Frank and Joseph Ybarra, Jiles Rodarte; mother in -law, Onofre Soberanez; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; godchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. Mr. Carter was a Veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. S.W. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Final visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 am. at Holy Family Catholic Church 562 Atrisco Dr. S.W. A Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. 501Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers will be Trinidad Ybarra Jr., Joseph Ybarra, Matthew Vigil, Tito Soberanez, Michael Trujillo Jr., Albert Vigil Jr., Abel Tena, Frank Ybarra. Honorary pallbearers will be Jiles Rodarte, Michael Torres, Jason Rodarte and Albert Vigil Sr.
