- FRENCH - Wyoming 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 505.823.9400 www.frenchfunerals.com

Bruce Harl Strotz, age 70, a devoted husband and father who filled every moment of his life with laughter, loyalty and love passed away on December 20, 2016. Bruce is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl Strotz; children, Sondra Carpenter and husband, Kevin, Karla Pinckes and husband, Michael; and grandchildren, Drake and Kaylin Carpenter and Caden and Addison Pinckes. He had recently connected with siblings, Patricia, Linda and Christopher (Guv) Gilby from England. [He is still waiting for his castle]

He was a "small country lawyer" born in Los Angeles, raised in Beverly Hills and Kauai, HI. Bruce attended St. John’s Military Academy in Wisconsin, the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and graduated from Loyola University in Los Angeles. He earned his law degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 1971.

As an Air Force Captain he was commissioned to the JAG office at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM in 1972. After he retired, he established permanent residency in Albuquerque and opened up a successful law practice. His true passion was his love for his family. He was known as an accomplished tennis player, a master of music trivia and a constant jokester. Anyone who spent time with him always left laughing or shaking their heads at the things he dared to say. The world has lost a bright light. His deviant but endearing and loving smile will be forever missed. Aloha Brucie xoxo
