Sky City giving away a Mustang to welcome in the new year
Start off 2017 with a new ride thanks to Sky City Casino Hotel on Acoma Pueblo. Now through Jan. 28, be part of Sky City’s “Forget the Past and Step on the Gas to 2017” promotion” for your chance at a 2017 Ford Mustang. There will be a total of 42 qualifiers that will be selected every Saturday in January to win $150 in free play and qualify for the final drawing at 9 p.m. Jan. 28. Guests receive one entry when they earn 40 points playing their preferred Sky City game.
Later this month, earn three times the points from 8 a.m. to midnight on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 16. Play your favorite slot machine using your Players Club card at Sky City Casino or the Sky City Travel Center to qualify. If you can’t make it on Jan. 16, head to Sky City Casino or the Sky City Travel Center between 8 a.m. and midnight every Thursday in 2017 to earn five times the points on your Players Club card. To qualify, use your players card in the slot machine of your choosing.

Wednesdays are for seniors age 50 and older at Sky City. Senior guests receive $20 in free play when they earn 400 points between noon and 4 p.m. Wednesdays playing their favorite Sky City games. Hungry seniors also get $4 off the Huwak’a Restaurant menu or buffet during breakfast or lunch service.
Sky City is celebrating those who have birthdays this month by offering them one free swipe at any kiosk for a chance to win free play during the month of January. The free play amount depends on the patron’s players card level.
The more points you earn the more ways you can save at Sky City. The casino is giving club card members more ways to use their points. Each time you use your players club card at a Sky City slot machine or table game, you earn points. You can redeem those points for merchandise at the Sky City Casino Hotel Gift Shop or for gasoline at Sky City Travel Center and Sky Way Travel Center.

THE DOWNS RACETRACK & CASINO: New year, new winnings at The Downs Racetrack & Casino. Mondays through Fridays this month be part of the “$125,000 Punchboard Payoff” promotion. Three winners will be chosen at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. for a chance at up to $500 cash.
On Saturdays, it’s the “$12,000 Downs Derby,” with $3,000 awarded each Saturday this month. The virtual Downs Derby takes place at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. every Saturday this month. Pick your pony, and all win, place and show finishers share $600 in a free play prize pool during each of the five races. On Sundays this month, it’s time for “$20,000 Slot Tournaments,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 to 4 p.m., 5 to 7 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m. The top 15 scores win cash or free play prizes totaling $1,000 per tournament.
Random slot tournaments and the “Downs Derby” also will be offered randomly this month. Random $125 slot tournaments will award free-play prizes to the top 12 scores. There will be $100 free play awarded to guests with win, play and show finishes. The $100 prizes will be shared among winners.
During the week on Wednesdays, take part in 15 “Instant Hit” drawings. Players qualify by earning 25 base points within 30 minutes before each drawing. All prizes are free play and have to be used within 48 hours of a win. There will be 60 winners every Wednesday. Also, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 16, players earn five times the points. On Thursdays this month, patrons who start the day early at The Downs can qualify for the “Early Bird” promotion. When they accrue 75 base points, a bonus wheel will appear on their game for a chance at $5 to $500 in free play. The promotion will end once $500 is awarded.
