HARTFORD, Conn. — Topranked UConn tied its own NCAA record with its 90th consecutive win, routing No. 20 South Florida 102-37 on Tuesday night.

Saniya Chong scored 20 points to lead six players in double figures for the Huskies (15-0, 2-0 American Athletic Conference), who matched the streak Geno Auriemma’s program set between November 2008 and December 2010.

Maria Jespersen had 11 points for South Florida (13-2, 2-1 American Athletic Conference), which has never beaten UConn in 21 attempts.

Chong hit a 3-pointer to start a 9-0 opening run and the Huskies quickly extinguished any USF hopes for an upset. The Huskies led by 22 after the first 10 minutes. Another 3-pointer by Chong gave UConn its first 40-point lead at 53-13 with four minutes left in the second quarter. It was 65-19 at halftime. UConn hasn’t lost since Nov. 17, 2014, at then-No. 6 Stanford, a two-point defeat in overtime. Without that loss, the streak would be 138 games.

Four members of the current team, Chong, Gabby Williams (11 points, 13 rebounds), Kia Nurse (13 points, seven rebounds), and Tierney Lawlor, have been part of the program for all 90 wins.

After the game, UConn stayed on the court to watch a congratulatory video made by former players as fans held up signs reading “90 and counting.” MICHIGAN STATE 94, (11) OHIO STATE 75: In East Lansing, Mich., Tori Jankoska scored 42 points, breaking Michigan State’s single-game and all-time scoring record in a win over Ohio State (14-5, 4-1 Big Ten).

The 5-foot-8 senior guard started the night six points away from Aerial Powers’ scoring record of 1,817 and needed just a few minutes to surpass her with two 3-pointers and a layup. The Spartans (13-4, 3-1) led the entire game. (16) TEXAS 66, OKLAHOMA STATE 35: In Austin, Texas, Brooke McCarty scored 16 points with four 3-pointers and Texas (11-4) beat Oklahoma State (124, 2-3) to win its ninth straight and start the Big 12 Conference season at 5-0 for the fourth time in program history. (21) DEPAUL 78, ST. JOHN’S

66: In New York, Brooke Schulte scored 21 points, Amarah Coleman added 15 and the Blue Demons (14-4, 6-0 Big East) beat the Red Storm (11-5, 3-2) in the Maggie Dixon Classic.

(10) WEST VIRGINIA 89, (1)

BAYLOR 68: In Morgantown, W.Va., Nathan Adrian broke out of a shooting slump with a career-high 22 points, and the Mountaineers (14-2, 3-1 Big 12) beat the Bears (15-1, 3-1) in Baylor’s first game as the top-ranked team in program history.

Baylor committed a seasonhigh 29 turnovers — the school record is 31 — and never led in its second true road game of the season. The loss means No. 5 Gonzaga is the only remaining unbeaten team in Division I.

West Virginia started the second half with an 11-3 run and kept pouring it on, leading by as many as 26 points down the stretch.

Fans rushed the court and sang John Denver’s “Country Roads” after the Mountaineers toppled a top-ranked Big 12 opponent at home for the second straight season. A year ago this week, West Virginia beat Kansas when the Jayhawks were No. 1.

Terry Maston, Jo Lual-Acuil

Jr. and Al Freeman each scored 10 for the Bears. (2) KANSAS 81, OKLAHOMA

Rashard Odomes and Kameron McGusty each scored 13 points for the Sooners (6-9, 0-4), who lost their seventh in a row. (3) VILLANOVA 79, (15) XAVIER

Villanova was dominant in the second half in its first game since its five-week run at No. 1 ended with a loss last week at Butler. (6) KENTUCKY 87, VANDERBILT 81: In Nashville, Tenn., Malik Monk scored six points in the final 32 seconds, and the Wildcats (14-2, 2-0 SEC) held off the Commodores (8-8, 2-2).

Kentucky came in having beaten its first three SEC opponents by at least 23 points, something the Wildcats hadn’t done since the 1953-54 season. Vanderbilt closed to 83-81 on Jeff Roberson’s

putback with 17.9 seconds left. But the rally fizzled from there. (9) FLORIDA STATE 88, (7)

Dwayne Bacon and Terance Mann had 13 points apiece as the Seminoles (16-1, 4-0) set a school record with their 12th straight win, breaking a mark that had stood since 1970. It is also the first time they have started 4-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Luke Kennard led Duke (14-3, 2-2) with 23 points. (23) FLORIDA 80, ALABAMA 67: In Tuscaloosa, Ala., Keith Stone scored 14 points and the Florida (13-3, 4-0 SEC) finished on a 19-6 run to defeat Alabama (9-6, 2-1).
