FABULOUS FELINES is holding its Spring cat food and supplies drive. There is a continued need for those in the Fabulous Felines system, the community cats and to give a little help to keep cats in their own homes. Needs are cat food, paper towels and paper plates. Donations can be dropped off at VCA Montgomery (Feline Side), 9901 Montgomery NE. Financial donations can be mailed to Fabulous Felines, P.O. VOLUNTEERS

NEW MEXICO KIDS MATTER, formerly known as Albuquerque CASA, believes every child who has been abused and neglected and in foster care deserves to have a dedicated volunteer advocate speaking up for them in court, at school and in our community. We need volunteers to go through our training to become Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children who are in CYFD custody.

A CASA volunteer is a trained and committed adult who gets to know the child by talking with everyone in that child’s life; parents and relatives, foster parents, teachers, medical professionals, attorneys, social workers and others.

A CASA is passionate about being a voice for abused and neglected children in our community. If you are willing to pursue a child’s case with resolve and persistence, then we are willing to train you. Our volunteers come from every walk of life and share a commitment to improving children’s lives, a willingness to learn, and an open mind toward life experiences different from their own.
