WINGS FOR LIFE INTERNATIO­NAL, a nonprofit organizati­on developed to reach out to families who may be at-risk, which includes inmate families, recently paroled individual­s and their families, single parents and people recovering from addictions, is requesting an office phone system with four phone stations for their office. VOLUNTEERS

NEW MEXICO KIDS MATTER, formerly known as Albuquerqu­e CASA, believes every child who has been abused and neglected and in foster care deserves to have a dedicated volunteer advocate speaking up for them in court, at school and in our community. We need volunteers to go through our training to become Court Appointed Specal Advocated (CASA) for children who are in CYFD custody. A CASA volunteer is a trained and committed adult who gets to know the child by talking with everyone in that child’s life; parents and relatives, foster parents, teachers, medical profession­als, attorneys, social workers and others. A CASA is passionate about being a voice for abused and neglected children in our community. If you are willing to pursue a child’s case with resolve and persistenc­e, then we are willing to train you. Our volunteers come from every walk of life and share a commitment to improving children’s lives, a willingess to learn, and an open mind towards life experience­s different from their own.
