A CUPFUL OF capitalism

-

When life hands you lemons, become an entrepreneur.

Hundreds of students set up stands throughout the Duke City on Saturday as part of Lemonade Day, a national initiative aimed at teaching kids how to start, own and operate their own business by creating and running a lemonade stand.

Leading up to the day, the students studied a mentor guide and entrepreneurial workbook to help them along, reads an event news release.

Stands popped up at Los Ranchos Growers’ Market, Balloon Fiesta Park, Dion’s and Nusenda Credit Union locations, among other spots.

The Rio Grande Educational Collaborative teamed up with local businesses in hosting the third-annual event.
