Perfecto Chavez

Jr. age 89, Devoted husband, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. passed away peacefully Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Perfecto was born in Albuquerque New Mexico, raised in the Griegos community, moved to the South Valley and built a beautiful home to raise his family. Where he has lived for the last 65 years.

Perfecto was a proud veteran of the United States Army, who served his country during WWII. He proudly served as Post Commander in the late 60’s and was dedicated to the DAV for many years. Perfecto retired after 37 years as a Civil Service Employee of KAFB.

Perfecto enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, sons and grandchildren, loved dancing with the love of life Candie, and taking care of his beautiful garden.

Perfecto is preceded in death by his parents Perfecto and Carolina Chavez Sr, his two brothers Elaudio and Carlos Chavez, and two sons Robert and Orlando Chavez, and granddaughter Amanda Renee Chavez.

Perfecto is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Candie Chavez, his daughter Loretta Perez and husband Ignacio Perez and sons Stephen Chavez, and Ignacio Perez II, his daughter Janet Gonzales and husband Allen, and daughter Aline Sais and husband Josh, his son Edward Chavez and partner Tony Bosco, his son Raymond Chavez and wife Cathy, two daughters Rayanna Chavez and boyfriend Kyle, Alyssa Martinez and husband Moses. Granddaughter Delora Cole (daughter of the late Robert Chavez) and husband BeeJay and her 5 children. Perfecto will be greatly missed by his family and many friends and by those whose lives he touched with his warm soul and great sense of humor.

Services will be held at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque New Mexico, on Saturday May 6, 2017. Viewing, Rosary, and Funeral from 12:00 to 2:00p. m. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico
