Fiegel, Linda Anne

Linda Anne Fiegel, 76, of Alb, NM passed away in the early morning hours April 29, 2017 at Presbyterian Hospital following a 4 year battle with stage 4 cancer.

Born July 23, 1940 in Chicago Ill. She worked as a stewardess for United Airlines. During her career she traveled around the world and was a head stewardess for a presidential campaign. She was also a devoted and loving spouse, mother and grandmother. Linda was a lifelong devout Catholic and proud member of Father Paul Baca’s Community of Prayer. She was very active in charitable causes and had a long list of charities that were dear to her. Working with the Community of Prayer she spearheaded fundraising and delivery of food to St Felix Pantry.

Linda was married to Lt. Col. David A. Fiegel, USAF, Ret. in 1972; they were married 45 years.

Linda is survived by her husband David, daughter Anne and husband Geoffrey Johnson and their children Alex and Katie Johnson of Albuquerque NM. Step children Brian Fiegel and his wife Claudia and their children Nick and Jane of Falls Church Va., Lisa Kaplan and son and daughter Tanner and Eden of Gainesville Va, and Todd Fiegel and wife Lauren of Richmond VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry E. Croft and Esther J. Bruns Croft; Brother Harry E. Croft Jr. and his wife Mildred H. Croft.

The family wants to extend special thanks to her caretakers and home health team Regina, Indira, Karen and Carmen. As well as the New Mexico Cancer Center and its dedicated employees, especially Doctors Alidina, Giudice and Franklin, the infusion room staff along with Willow Durand and Shelly Phillis. Special acknowlegement to longtime friends Donna and Charlene.

Funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
