Shew, Dorothy L. Squires

Dorothy L. Shew, 96, died on November 29, 2016, in Naples, Florida. She was born on December 30, 1919, to Shannon and Mamie (Wilhite) Lane in Columbia, MO.

She moved to Albuquerque in 1961, worked at Stromberg’s and Goldwater’s, was an active St. Paul’s UMC member, and moved to Naples in 2005.

She buried three husbands: Carl S. Squires (1937-1972), Earl Cailteux (1975-1981) and Lemmie B. Shew (1983-1991). She is survived by daughter, Connie (Jack) Kindsvater of Naples; son, Dr. Richard L. (Janet Diskin) Squires of Santa Clarita, California; four grandchildren and two greatgranddaughters.

Dorothy’s ashes will be interred on Thursday, May 11, 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, Albuquerque. Committal prayers at the Shew crypt will be led by St. Paul’s Pastor Doug Chapman. Donations IMO Dorothy Shew may be sent to St. Paul’s UMC, 9500 Constitution NE, Alb, NM 87112.
