McConaghy, Janet Lee

Janet Lee McConaghy, 79 was peacefully called home to her family in heaven on Wed., April 19, 2017.

Janet entered this world on Jan. 22, 1938 in Leesburg, Virginia born to Walton (William) & Hilda McMillan.

She is survived by her beloved sister Linda Larkin & husband; her granddaughters, Laura Holt and husband, Elizabeth McLane & husband, Katie Nicolas & husband, Rebecca McConaghy; greatgrandchildren, Vivienne Holt, Greyson Holt, Alastair Nicolas, Ronan McLane and many nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by the love of her life James McConaghy who she was married to for over 53 years. Janet was also preceded in death by her two amazing sons Michael McConaghy and Anthony (Tony) McConaghy.

Janet will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister and grandmother who enjoyed reading, writing, travel, British comedies & delicious food. Janet also enjoyed her career in bookkeeping and retired after many wonderful years at Landau & Associates. Janet was a great cook who loved to get together with family and friends & socialize. She always tried to keep a positive attitude in life even after the tragic deaths of her two sons.
