Marlins roll; Harvey suspended

NEW YORK — Shortly after scheduled starter Matt Harvey was suspended by the New York Mets, Giancarlo Stanton hit two more monstrous home runs off fill-in Adam Wilk that led the Miami Marlins to a 7-0 victory Sunday.

Harvey was suspended three days without pay for an undisclose­d violation of team rules. Media reports indicated the penalty stemmed from the pitcher failing to show up at the ballpark Saturday.

Making his first start of the year while Edinson Volquez recovers from a blister problem, Jose Urena (1-0) and three relievers combined on a one-hitter as the Marlins snapped a three-game losing streak. Rene Rivera led off the sixth inning with a clean single against Urena.

ROCKIES 5, DIAMONDBAC­KS 2: In Denver, Tyler Chatwood pitched two-hit ball into the eighth inning before exiting after deflecting a comebacker with his pitching hand, Mark Reynolds homered for a third straight game and Colorado beat Arizona.

REDS 4, GIANTS 0: In Cincinnati, Scott Feldman pitched a four-hitter, Scott Schebler and Zack Cozart homered off Johnny Cueto and the Reds earned their fifth straight win.

PHILLIES 6, NATIONALS 5 (10): In Philadelph­ia, Freddy Galvis hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Phillies.

BREWERS 6, PIRATES 2: In Pittsburgh, Eric Thames broke out of his slump with a home run and three hits, sending Milwaukee to a victory. CARDINALS 6, BRAVES 4: In Atlanta, Tommy Pham hit two homers, including a two-run drive in the 14th inning, and St. Louis recovered after blowing a four-run lead to complete a three-game sweep.

ASTROS 5, ANGELS 3: In Anaheim, Calif., Jose Altuve hit a three-run homer during Houston’s four-run third inning, and Evan Gattis also homered for the Astros. RED SOX 17, TWINS 6: In Minneapoli­s, Sandy Leon hit a pair of two-run homers, Chris Sale struck out 10 and Boston, fueled by a season-high five homers, finished with a 10-run ninth.

ORIOLES 4, WHITE SOX 0: In Baltimore, Chris Tillman pitched five sharp innings in his season debut, and the Orioles completed a three-game sweep.

INDIANS 1, ROYALS 0: In Kansas City, Mo., Mike Clevinger and four relievers combined for a one-hitter as Cleveland beat the Royals.

ATHLETICS 8, TIGERS 6: In Oakland, Calif., Ryon Healy hit a two-run homer to cap a three-run ninth inning against Francisco Rodriguez, and the Athletics rallied.

MARINERS 4, RANGERS 3: In Seattle, Kyle Seager hit a tiebreakin­g home run in the eighth inning and the Mariners rallied late.

BLUE JAYS 2, RAYS 1: In St. Petersburg, Fla., Joe Biagini and four relievers combined on a three-hitter and Darwin Barney hit a tiebreakin­g homer in the eighth inning for Toronto.

DODGERS-PADRES: The game between the Dodgers and Padres was postponed in the first rainout at Petco Park since 2015.
