Albuquerque Garden Tour
The 44th Annual Albuquerque Garden Tour on Saturday, May 20, showcases nine gardens in the Supper Rock and Sandia Foothills area.
Gardens range from traditional landscapes to urban farming to cactus and native plants. Two gardens are on the boulder outcroppings in the area.
The tour is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A lunch of chicken salad or vegetable wraps, cold cucumber-mint soup, dessert and drink will be available at one of the gardens.
Nine plein air artists will be painting in the gardens during the tour and several will have musicians.
The tour is presented by the Council of Albuquerque Garden Clubs, a nonprofit consortium of local garden clubs and societies, and the Albuquerque Garden Center.
The tour includes the 12 demonstration gardens at the center, 10120 Lomas NE.
