CAMPING WITH THE LOBOS

University of New Mexico men’s coach Paul Weir took time Monday to impart some basketball wisdom on some eager youngsters on Monday.

About 243 kids participated in Weir’s individual skills camp for kids in grades 1 through 8 on Monday at the Pit and Rudy Davalos Center.

Lobos and former Lobos are serving as camp instructors.

The skills camp runs through Thursday.

Weir will hold an elite camp for those in grades 9-12 on Friday and Saturday.

The coach’s boys team camp is set for next week.
