CAMPING WITH THE LOBOS

University of New Mexico men’s coach Paul Weir took time Monday to impart some basketball wisdom on some eager youngsters on Monday.

About 243 kids participat­ed in Weir’s individual skills camp for kids in grades 1 through 8 on Monday at the Pit and Rudy Davalos Center.

Lobos and former Lobos are serving as camp instructor­s.

The skills camp runs through Thursday.

Weir will hold an elite camp for those in grades 9-12 on Friday and Saturday.

The coach’s boys team camp is set for next week.
