Santa Ana Star Casino marks 24 years with prizes up to $240,000
Happy birthday, Santa Ana Star Casino! This month the casino celebrates 24 years of gambling, entertainment and fun. In commemoration, it is hosting its “$240,000 Birthday Giveaway.” Earn entries through Saturday, June 24, when drawings will be held at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Five guests will be selected during each drawing to have a chance to play for $240,000. Each selected patron will win a cash prize ranging between $240 to $240,000. Star Rewards Club members earn an entry with every 500 points they accrue.
Get your fill of seafood favorites with some prime rib on the side during the seafood and prime rib buffet from 4 to 10 p.m. every Friday at the Feast Buffet. Guests can enjoy crab legs, prime rib, shrimp, oysters and more for $25.95 per person. On Saturdays, the Feast Buffet offers New Mexican favorites, including green chile chicken enchiladas, carne adovada, chicharrones, carne asada fajitas, a burrito bar and street tacos. Lunch is $9.95 per person, and dinner is $12.95 per person.
Head over to the new Cantina Rio if you’re looking for some eats and drinks on the weekends. Enjoy live music from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. every Friday and Saturday. The Bus Tapes perform tonight and Saturday, and the Chris Raven Band closes out the month on June 30.
Saturday night is a big night for fans of electronic dance music. EDM superstar Borgeous performs at The Stage inside Santa Ana Star Casino. Doors open at 9 p.m. Later in the week, it’s time for some laughs at The Stage, with three shows featuring comedians Lachlan Patterson and Joe Machi. The Stage hosts comedy nights every Thursday and Vegas Nights every Saturday. Comedy nights start at 7:30 Thursdays, and Vegas Nights run from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturdays. Vegas Nights bring the “energy and excitement” of Sin City to New Mexico with Vegasstyle production and amenities. Vegas Nights also feature music pumped through a sound system with a festivalstyle light show with lasers.
