At age 93, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 he was born in Slater, MO on September 17, 1923, to Arnauld Joseph and Hazeldean (Walton) Ricard. Dad served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and then the Air Force until his retirement in 1975, after serving an added 10 years in the Air Force Reserve. After the war had ended, dad received the WWII Victory Medal, A/P Theater Ribbon with bronze star, the American Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. Dad married mom, Ernestine "Teeny" Wall (Hinshaw) on October 25, 1949 at Selfridge Air Force Base in Mt. Clemmons, Michigan. After dad’s initial retirement in 1965 dad worked as an electrician until 1984.

Dad was preceded in death by his parents, Arnauld and Hazeldean Ricard; step-mom, Marie Ricard; his wife of 58 years Ernestine "Teeny" (Hinshaw) Ricard; son-in-law, Rich Rood; son-in-law, Daniel Sanchez. Dad is survived by his daughter, Lynda Rood, her son Rick Rood (Claudine); their sons Jordon & Tad. Her daughter, Wendy Valla (Mike) & their sons Ryan & Toby. Renae Ricard (Gordon Postenreider) their daughter Stephanie Soto (Joey) their daughter Nira and son Nathaniel. Debbie Price & her daughter Tauzha and her children Allen, Destiny and Abbie; Mathew Price; Katie Chavez and her children, Jacob, Autumn & Mila; Tina Sanchez & his cat, Beau.

A Rosary for mom and dad will be recited on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 7pm at The Church of Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd NE Rio Rancho. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, 2pm, at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd SE , Rio Rancho.
