Ladner, Maria Ascension "Mary"

On Sunday, July 9, 2017, Maria Ascension "Mary" Ladner passed away from natural causes at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Laura Martinez; her husband of sixty years and one day, Robert "Bob" Ladner; four brothers; and four sisters.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Tara; sons, Bob, Joseph, Chuck and wife, Pat, and Mark and wife, Mona; granddaughters, Acacia, Jennifer, and Adrienne; grandsons, Shioan, Adam, and Aaron; three great-grandchildren, Sahalie, Evan, and Eston; sister, Fran Bonnet; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Mary was a military wife, traveling with Bob to various military bases before spending 28 years working in civil service at Kirtland Air Force Base. She loved Lobo basketball, faithfully attending both boys and girls games for about 35 years. Her nick name was "Little Lulu." She was very outgoing and lots of fun. She loved to bowl, dance, and go on rides to get ice cream cones. Mary was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017, 1:00 p. m. at FRENCH - Lomas with a reception to follow. Interment of Bob and Mary’s cremated remains will take place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
