As chief of staff for the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office I worked on local legislation and federal grants (2006-2014).
I have served on boards and committees that form legislation recommendations: Child Fatality Review Board (2001-2010), Intimate Partner Death Review Team (eight years, served as chairwoman 2003), Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Committee (2015-2017).
As chief of staff for the NMAGO, I worked on legislation against human trafficking, formation of New Mexico’s first anti-corruption investigation unit, internet crimes against children issues, statewide methamphetamine, prescription drug, and opioid addiction issues, and prescription take back efforts.
MAJOR PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT: Raising five children, who are hard working adults, overcame challenges, and made the right career choices. I love my family! I am also proud of organizing the first DNA “John Doe” indictment of the “Ether man rapist” now serving a 276-year sentence.
