Free document shredding today

-

WEST SIDE — Those who want to safely shred unneeded documents can do so between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. today at AAA New Mexico branch offices.

“Shredding unneeded documents protects you from identity theft, provides peace of mind, and saves the environment by recycling paper that would otherwise take up space in a landfill,” AAA says.

The shredding, to be handled by “certified shredding professionals,” is free and open to the public, according to a news release. Attendees may bring up to five banker boxes or five paper grocery bags full of junk mail and personal papers.

The local AAA locations are: 9231 Coors NW and 10501 Montgomery NE in Albuquerque.
