Mrs. Susan (Sue) Horning, of Sun City West, AZ, died on September 9, 2017, at the age of 77. Sue was born in Pomona, CA to Earl and Norma Clark, and had two siblings, Roger and Jane.

Sue attended Fullerton High School, and went on to earn a B.S. in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles. She married husband, Bob Horning, in June 1961, and they had two daughters, Lisa and Robin. They lived in Livermore, CA, where Sue worked as a registered nurse for Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. The family moved to New Mexico in 1975, where Sue worked for the Santa Fe Public Schools. In addition to nursing, Sue loved to play bridge, sew, and sing barbershop, performing for several years with High Desert and Enchanted Mesa Show Choruses of Sweet Adelines Internatio­nal. Sue and Bob moved to Sun City West in December 2016.

She is survived by her husband Bob Horning, daughter Robin McClure, brother Roger Clark, sister Jane Murtagh, and nieces Denise Mitchell, Jane Anderson, and Karen Dial.

Arrangemen­ts are being handled by Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center, 13738 Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 85375. A memorial service will be arranged later this year. Donations in Sue’s memory may be made to Easterseal­s
