Daughter to read her late mother’s work

AT BOOKWORKS: Lisa Gillett will read from her mother Michelle Gillett’s “Coming About” at 3 p.m. today.

Michelle Gillett (1948-2016) lived in Stockbridg­e, Mass., and was active in the art and literary communitie­s of the Berkshires. Her daughter, Lisa, lives in Albuquerqu­e.

Phyllis Skoy will sign “Myopia: A Memoir” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Bruce Campbell will read and sign “Hail to the Chin” at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23.

The book is the new memoir from Campbell, a follow-up to the New York Times best-seller “If Chins Could Kill.”

AT THE KIMO: “Emerald Mile” author Kevin Fedarko presents his work on the Grand Canyon with the Grand Canyon Trust at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21., as part of the Ki Mo Theater’s signature 90th anniversar­y series. The event is free. RSVP is required.
