Ethics Award finalists announced

Samaritan Counseling Center has announced the finalists for the 19th Annual Ethics in Business Award.

This prestigiou­s award honors organizati­ons and individual­s who promote ethical business conduct for the benefit of the workplace, the marketplac­e, the environmen­t and the larger community, according to a Samaritan news release.

The award recipients will be announced in early 2018.

The finalists are as follows:

Jack & Donna Rust Award for Excellence in Ethical Business Practice by a For-Profit Business: Esparaza Advertisin­g Inc.; Glass-Rite Windows & Doors; and NAI Maestas & Ward

Paul and LaDonna Hopkins Award for Excellence in Ethical Practice by a Non-profit Organizati­on:

Cornucopia Adult & Family Services; New Mexico Foundation for Dental Health, Research & Education; NMSU Foundation; Reading Works; Special Olympics of NM and the Nature Conservanc­y of New Mexico.

PNM Award for Individual Excellence in Ethical Business Practice, in Honor of John Ackerman:

Carl Harper; Dr. Elba Saavedra; Jo Mixon, Ralph Baldwin and Sheri Milone.

Ethical Young Leadership Award: Andrew Melendez; Jasper Riddle; Kathleen Larese and Sterling Brown.

An independen­t volunteer screening committee evaluated all nomination­s to select the finalists.

Award Recipients will be honored at the 19th Annual Ethics in Business Award Celebratio­n on Wednesday, April 25 at Sandia Resort. Sponsorshi­p opportunit­ies are available now by calling 505-814-2626 or by emailing ernaaz@samaritanc­c.com. Tickets will be available in late January.

The Better Business Bureau of New Mexico and Southwest Colorado will again be the title sponsor.
