WESST is offering QuickBooks Pro for Beginners, a three-session, hands-on workshop designed for users who are brand new to QuickBooks or are early beginners just starting with the program, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 10-12, at the WESST Enterprise Center, 609 Broadway NE. The WESST instructor for the class is Julianna Silva, managing director of the WESST Enterprise Center. Participants will learn the fundamentals of correctly entering their company data, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales, checking, and payroll; explore timesaving functions including how to generate invoices and pay your bills; and tracking quality data to help participants make appropriate financial decisions and generate meaningful reports. The cost is $149.

THE NEW MEXICO RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION is sponsoring an Alcohol Server Certification Class from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 9201 Montgomery NE, Ste. 602. The class meets the requirement for mandatory alcohol server education for all people serving or selling alcohol in New Mexico. Participants must be 19 years of age or older with valid, non-expired identification. The course fee is $20 for employees of NMRA member restaurants and hotels; and $25 for others. Pre-registration is not required.
