Annabelle Grubb,

73, of Albuquerqu­e, NM, beloved wife, mother, and grandmothe­r, found eternal peace on October

16, 2017. She passed away at home in the loving arms of her husband, surrounded by her daughters and family. Annabelle was born on January 24, 1944 in Arroyo Hondo, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Inocencio and Virginia Rael; sisters, Lila Avila, Teodora Padilla, and Erlinda Fallon; and baby brother, Eloy.

Annabelle worked for UNM Hospitals and Tricore Reference Laboratori­es for 36 years as a medical transcript­ionist and retired in 2014. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Sacred Heart Society and a Guadalupan­a. She also loved volunteeri­ng for Catholic Charities.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Carl; her daughters, Michelle Lopez (Jerry), Karen Trujillo (Joseph), and Laura Grubb (Jason); grandsons, Mathew McPheeters, Joshua, Julian, and Jacob Lopez; brothers, Leandro Rael (Joan) and Robert Rael (Geraldine); and sister, Genara Sanchez; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Annabelle wished to express her gratitude, along with her family, to the doctors, nurses, and staff at UNM Hospitals and UNM Comprehens­ive Cancer Center for the wonderful care she received.

The Rosary was recited on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 6:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Arroyo Hondo, NM. The Rosary will also be recited on Monday, October 23, 2017, 7:00 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerqu­e, NM, with visitation starting at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 10:00 a. m., also at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rael Cemetery in Arroyo Hondo, NM. Pallbearer­s are her grandsons Mathew, Joshua, Julian, and Jacob; and nephews Robert and Daniel Rael.
