SPORTS SPEAK UP!
TO THE LOBO
football national anthem kneelers: History will judge you fairly. Your gestures were neither disrespectful nor unpatriotic. In fact, they were the opposite. They highlighted that, after 241 years, our country is still a work in progress. If I could meet you in person I would shake your hands, not necessarily to congratulate you, but to encourage you to keep caring about our country. We all need to keep working together to make our country better. I also appreciate your hard work to represent our school during this difficult football season.

NO WINS SINCE
the “Old Glory” curse inflicted on UNM Football after the AF Academy game debacle. The dismal season ends with the team sliding in to the Pacific Ocean under the sad eyes of former coach Rocky Long. Suggest they start first game of next season by being on the field for the national anthem and rendering proper (and overdue) respect. Include Coach Davie and new Prez.

NOW THAT THIS
forgettable Lobo football season is history, three trends that need to be addressed immediately appear obvious: ineffective pass rush by DL, inability of OL to protect the QB, resulting in rushed throws and interceptions, and far too many dropped catchable passes. Not sure if these deficiencies are a size issue, talent issue, or both? I have continued faith that Davie is the right guy to lead this team, but this season was a huge disappointment.
