Duane Rigdon, 56, went to meet his Lord and Savior, Thursday, November 30, 2017, surrounded by his family and dear friends.

Duane is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Judy Rigdon; parents,

Mac and Helen Rigdon; mother and father-in-law, Lloyd and Georgia Howeth; brother, Brian Rigdon and wife, Missie; brother-in-law, Greg Howeth and wife, Deena; sister-in-law, Carla Howeth; nephews, Stan Rigdon and wife, Jenny, and Eli Rigdon, Matt Howeth and wife, Danika and Dalton Howeth; nieces, Melissa and Brianna Rigdon; grand-nephews, Cain and Cooper Howeth.

Duane graduated from El Dorado High School in 1979. He attended Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix where he received his "Doctor of Diesel Mechanics". He opened his business ALLSTATE Tractor Services. He serviced many of the dairies in the area.

Duane was devoted to his God and active in his church at Sandia Baptist, where he served as Deacon and taught several Sunday school classes. He loved working with the youth and was honored to be the dire ctor/teacher of the college class.

Duane embodied silent strength. His calming presence and quiet confidence in every situation consistently brought comfort to those around him. He selflessly aided anyone who needed his help. His soft, low voice spoke so many words of wisdom to anyone who would listen. His strong hands and hugs touched many lives. His smile and eyes showed everyone the depth of his love.

One of Duane’s favorite past times was working on old tractors, his favorite was restoring a JD 4020. He also loved to go camping and fishing with his wife.

Duane loved his family. You could not think of Duane and not think of his love for his wife, Judy and his daughter, Hannah. His greatest joy was having his special "daddy time" with Hannah. This was always after dinner holding her in his lap playing with her, brushing her (long red) hair. They both loved to eat ice cream together-he would take a bite and she would pop open her mouth for hers.

To his wife-he truly showed the meaning of "unconditional love". He was her best friend, devoted husband, and a blessing from the Lord. A man of integrity and strength. Services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. He will be laid to rest at Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, NM following the service. Friends may visit Monday, December 4, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Lomas Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Sandia Family Ministries, Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112 or Make A Wish Foundation in honor of his daughter, Hannah, 144 Louisiana Blvd, NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87108.
