Randy "Rander" Anderson

-

1965-2017 Randy "Rander" Anderson passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017, born in Gary, Indiana to Karl and Donna Anderson. Although he was an only child, he has a large extended family that loved him dearly. At 16 years old, he began his lifelong service to his community by volunteering with his family at the Meadow Lake Fire and Rescue. Upon graduating from Los Lunas High School he then attended UNM. He was a fireman in Artesia and later Fire and Rescue for Laguna Pueblo. He rose through the ranks of EMS until he went to paramedic school in Portales, NM. Randy started at Albuquerque Ambulance where he served the community and the State of NM for almost 23 years rising to the rank of Captain as evidenced by his consummate professionalism as a Paramedic. Some of his many accomplishments throughout his lifetime included Deputy OMI and CCEMTP. Randy will be especially missed by his co-workers and his "Randy’s Kids." He was an avid outdoorsman and gamer. Randy loved to cook, eat and make people laugh and was a very social butterfly. He was a jack of all trades and never said no to anyone who needed help with anything, from repairing roofs to telling a funny story, even if it was only a joke and smile. He will be missed immensely by all.

Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Donna; and mother and father in-law, Bella Jo and Duane Bradley. He is survived by his dad, Karl; loving wife, Stacy; step-sons, JD, Dusty and Slik Knapp and their families; step-daughter, Charlotte; step-son, Christopher; mother in-law, Pat Clark Bradley; and son, Alex and his family.
