Evangeline "Vangie" Tripp

-

Evangeline Marie Tripp (Baca) was called by our Lord and Savior on November 30, 2017. Vangie was born in Las Vegas, NM on April 4, 1927 to Luciano & Filomena Baca. She was preceded in death by her siblings and spouses: Manuel Baca (Beva), Bob Sandoval (Dora), Tony Baca (Carmen), Margret Esquibel (Pete), and Rosie Gallegos. She is also preceded by her son, David and daughter-in-law Debbie Garcia-Tripp.

Vangie, was the second youngest in her family. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Las Vegas in 1945.

Vangie is survived by her children, Margaret Travers (Mike) of Rio Rancho, Lorraine Tripp (Freddie Romero) of Rio Rancho, Billy Tripp (Geraldine ) of Las Vegas, Richard Tripp (Fiance-Cindy Aguilar) Las Vegas, Gary Tripp (Jeannette) of Rio Rancho, Ronnie Tripp (Michael his partner) of Sydney, Australia as well as several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Our mother is now with her parents, as well as her first born, David, her brothers and sisters, her daughterin-law, Debbie, and her great-grandson, Elias.

She must be filled by the Holy Spirit for eternity. Many in Las Vegas will recall Vangie as a waitress at several restaurants, most notable the Spic & Span and Home Cafe, which brought kindness, joy and a smile to every friend and customer she served. She will always be a servant of our Lord, a person who cherished the gift of being a Catholic, and person who enjoyed all the friendships she had in Las Vegas, Albuquerque and San Diego, CA. Our mother showed us God’s Love and hopefully we can love one another as our Savior intended us to love one another. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the great people at Fairwinds Retirement Village, in Rio Ran- cho, for the great care they gave our mother. Thank you for everything, Mom, but especially for being the kind, fun loving person you were, for we hope we can be half the person you were.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 6 at 10:00, followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers please tip all waiter and waitresses a little more this Advent season. To view information or leave a condolence please visit our website.
