AT BOOKWORKS: Joel Nakamura will sign “I Dreamed I Was a Dog” at 1 p.m. today. Nakamura’s vivid, colorful illustrati­ons transport readers on a magical journey that begins as a young boy falls asleep and dreams that he is a dog. Populated with animals and beautiful scenes of the natural world, the story shows the interconne­ction among all creatures in the vastness of the universe.

Gayle Lauradunn will sign “All the Wild and Holy: A Life of Eunice Williams, 1696-1785” at 3 p.m. today.

Gayle Lauradunn’s “Reaching for Air” was named finalist by the Texas Institute of Letters for Best First Book of Poetry. The manuscript for her second book, “All the Wild and Holy: A Life of Eunice Williams, 1696-1785,” was awarded Honorable Mention by Bauhan Publishing for the May Sarton Poetry Prize and is published by Foothills Publishing.

A. Gabriel Melendez will discuss “Archives from Mora County” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Tanaya Winder will read from her book of poems “Why Storms are Named After People and Bullets Remain Nameless” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6.
