Sargent
Roger and Karen Sargent are celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Roger Sargent and the former Karen Wagor were married Dec. 1, 1957, at Methodist Church in Waterville, Kan.
The couple met at Emporia State University when Roger returned to school after serving two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and two summers as a park ranger in Colorado. He had a career in auditing and financial management with various federal government agencies that began in Denver in 1957. Karen spent most of her time raising their children and was active in PTA, youth and church activities, and
Lopez
Carlos and Delia Lopez are celebrating 75 years of marriage.
Carlos Lopez and the former Delia Tenorio were joined in matrimony Jan. 13, 1942, at San Felipe Catholic Church in Albuquerque.
They have lived in Norwalk, Calif., since 1975. Carlos worked at Springer Transfer. Carlos is 94 years old and Delia is 90. The couple participate in activities in their home.

Brown
Emmit and Sonja Brown are celebrating 50 years of marriage.
Emmit Brown and the former Sonja Walter were joined in marriage Nov. 20, 1967, in Key West, Fla., at the U.S. Naval Chapel.
The couple were introduced by Betty Brown, Emmit’s mother, when she invited Sonja to a party for Emmit when he returned home from Vietnam in September 1967. They were married two months later. Emmit is now retired from part-time retail sales. The couple transferred to Albuquerque in 1962. In retirement, Roger studies family genealogy, works on home projects and attends granddaughters’ sports activities. Both are active at Mesa View United Methodist Church.
They are the parents of Mike and his wife, Jan Sargent; Linda and her husband, Joe Wosick; and the late Kirk Sargent. The family includes five granddaughters, Kali Sargent and Michael Martinez; Taylor Sargent; Shannon Sargent; Shelby Wosick; and Erin and her husband, Justin Brovo; and one great-grandchild, Natalie Martinez.
Roger and Karen celebrated with a cruise to Alaska and had a family dinner. and Johnny of Norwalk, Calif. The family includes eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-greatgrandchildren, a fivegeneration family.
Carlos and Delia celebrated at home with friends. Business Environments where he was an account manager of the flooring division. Sonja retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service where she was a program analyst. Emmit spends his time playing guitar and writing songs, while Sonja spends her time painting beautiful paintings and pastel artwork.
They are the parents of the late Neil Austin Brown.
Emmit and Sonja will be celebrating this milestone with family.
