Culby Keene was born on March

30, 1931, in Levelland, TX, the oldest son of Draper and Violet Keene. He passed from this life on December

5, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Audie Keene; his brother, Tommy Keene and wife, Molly; his three children, Steve, Terry and Lori and their spouses, Janis Keene, Anna Keene, and Anthony Aguilar; his grandchild­ren, Jason, Brandon, Robert, Richard and Shannon; and his great-grandchild­ren, Cole, Garrett, Brooke, James, Joseph and Riley. He developed a special relationsh­ip with his son-in-law, Anthony.

Culby served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He moved to Albuquerqu­e in 1958 after graduating from Texas Tech University. He took a job as a CPA with the accounting firm of Peat Marwick and Mitchell. Throughout his life he was a controller and CFO and an active member in his community.

Culby loved music and reading. He was an avid user of the library. We celebrate his passing through a life well lived - full of love, literacy, music and family.

Services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Culby’s memory to The National MS Society – Regional Processing Center, P.O.
