SANTA FE HUMANE SOCIETY

-

Stop by the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society to meet Mr. Mango, a short-haired cat looking for a place to call his own. Mr. Mango’s ideal day may include a nice long nap, followed by a stroll around the house, and maybe even a fun play session with a feather wand.

Also meet Hope! She is a 2-year-old, tricolor mixed-breed doggie. Hope is ready to start a new chapter in her life and join a loving home where she can learn and be happy. She loves to go on long walks and does well on leash. She also loves to play with soft dog toys and is quite an affectionate girl.

These and other animals are available for adoption from the shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Road. The shelter’s adoption hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. To inquire about these or any other pets available, call the shelter at 983-4309 ext. 610 or log on to www. sfhumanesociety.org.

Visit adoptable animals in the community during the shelter’s weekend mobile adoption events on Saturday and Sunday from noon-3 p.m. at PetSmart Santa Fe, 3561 Zafarano Drive. Also, on Thursday, Dec. 14, come by the shelter at 6 p.m. for “Don’t Forget to Light the Way Home,” a farolito event. For every $100 donation given, shelter staff will light a farolito in honor of a special animal or person in your life, past or present. Your donation then helps give a homeless animal everything they need to find their own true love.
