- BY ADRIAN GOMEZ JOURNAL ARTS EDITOR

Kasey Tyndall took a break off the road for Thanksgiving.

It was much needed, but she’s ready to get back to performing.

To add to the excitement, Tyndall released her debut album, “Between Salvation and Survival,” on Dec. 1.

“We’ve been working on the album for about two years,” she says during a recent phone interview. “It’s been a minute and we’re really proud of the final product.”

Tyndall is a rising star in the country music scene.

She’s known for her highenergy live performances, which she takes pride in.

And her debut album introduces her to the world. The 10-song collection, produced by hit songwriter Tommy Cecil, perfectly merges Tyndall’s creative writing chops with her energetic and raw rockingcountry sound.

“The entire album is all me,” the 21-year-old North Carolina native says. “This album is a collection of true stories. It’s my life so far. It’s like opening my personal diary.”

Tyndall is on the road with country group Parmalee, which she says is an amazing experience.

“The guys are like my brothers. We’re sort of from the same area, so we feel like family,” she says. “I’ve been able to grow a little more as a performer. The tour is so easy to be on. I’m lucky to be touring with them.”

Tyndall is also no stranger to the road. She’s played over 100 shows and logged over 34,000 miles in the past year.

Tyndall is experiencing the thrills of touring and working hard to introduce herself to the world.

“It’s great to have new music out on this tour,” she says. “What I realize on this tour is that there’s a lot of hard work on my part to help make this happen. Oftentimes, new musicians want the success right away. I know that I’ll have to work hard to get to the level I want to be.”

Since the album is 10 tracks deep, Tyndall is going to perform the entire album, along with some covers.

“I’m a rock ’n’ roll girl at heart,” she says. “My influences vary when it comes to music and listeners can hear those in my own music. The hard work is just beginning to pay off.”
