SPEAK UP! !?!

- IMAGINE IF GOV. SUSANA

I WILL gladly vote for a paid N.M. Legislature, but I must have term limits in return. No retirement compensation/option for new incoming legislators after that. Term limits to be two terms, no recycling or running again allowed, salary tied to average N.M. income, that’s it, no compromise! JD JOURNAL READERS, I ask you — would anyone who wasn’t a totally delusional idiot proclaim himself “a very stable genius”? In perspective, would Albert Einstein tell people that he was a genius? How about Stephen Hawking? Remember, the less competent a man is, the higher he rates his abilities. CK

TO THE person who found my coin purse at Dion’s Jan.8: I hope you really needed the money bad enough to steal it, but thanks for leaving the money clip and the purse. P.S. Why didn’t you take the $2.14 in change, too? SB

OUR UNM students have become such good little socialists. Give us the lottery scholarship money, give us the tax money, give us, give us, give to us. Like good socialists, they want to spend money that isn’t theirs and does not exist. Sorry, kids, socialism breeds promises that cannot be kept. CS

ON SUNDAY, I decided to drive up Central Avenue from I-25 to Louisiana. In my opinion, that is the most ill-conceived, screwed up street I have driven on in my 65 years of licensed driving. I can imagine what it’s like going west through Downtown all the way to Coors. Thanks ex-Mayor Richard Berry for your “Rail Runner.” JD

I AM concerned that the Albuquerque Journal does not report on the unusual warm weather this year in N.M. The lack of rain or snow for several months is highly unusual and worrisome in the nine years I have lived here. The fact there is extreme weather on the East Coast and springlike temperatures here, the relationship with La Niña. All these are evidences of climate change. This lack of water will be felt this summer with increasing risk of fires and drought, and this is very concerning. A number of serious newspapers are reporting on this all over the country, why not you? MZ

our self-proclaimed genius would only get as “strict” with the entire Department of Transportation instead of just the FAA, we would no longer have any loss of life due to accidents in any of our modes of transportation — land, air or sea. Is that asking too much?! RSM

Martinez has had a lot of setbacks over the past four years, but now, she’s even given up her claim to be a Republican. Upon learning that tax revenues would be increased by rising oil and gas prices, she’s proposed spending the money. An actual Republican would demand tax cuts to compensate. RINO! CK CANNABIS: THE GOP likes states’ rights until it doesn’t. LWG
