Curtis Lee Moyer
Curtis Lee Moyer was born in 1960 in Albuquerque and died January 16, 2018, at the age of 57, in a car accident in Phoenix, Arizona. Curt is survived by his wife, Cristina; children, Jacob and Curtis; stepson, Aaron; parents, Joyle and John Moyer of Albuquerque; sister, Cori Pruitt (husband Steve); and nieces, Joy and Jana Pruitt of Albuquerque.
Curt graduated from Eldorado High School in Albuquerque, then received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in electrical engineering from NM State. It was there that he met his first wife, Debbie Swart, and moved to Phoenix to work for the local power company, SRP. Today, their son, Jacob, is a freshman at ASU in Tempe, AZ, following his father’s engineering footsteps. Curt’s present wife, Cristina Coronado Moyer and their child Curtis, reside in Phoenix. Curt was employed by Ticketmaster as Database Manager.
Curt enjoyed golf, piano, guitar playing and composing, managing a health-issue website, and rousing ping-pong games with his three sons. In Curt’s younger years, he played Little League baseball and was a star pitcher on the team that won the state championship. He attended the Albuquerque Academy during mid school years when it was for boys only. As a senior at Eldorado High School he was presented with several academic awards and was voted "Most Shy," as evidenced when he did not attend the presentation and never collected his awards!
Curt Moyer will be missed by his friends, and leaves a great void within his family. He never sought attention himself. He was loyal, devoted, and deeply compassionate; a man whose laughter and smile will be remembered forever.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain Rd NE, Wednesday February 7, 2018, at 10:00 am.
