Diane Pierce, age

72, a resident of Albuquerqu­e since 1963, went to be with our

Lord on Friday, December 8, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 50 years,

John Pierce; children, Sheri Pritchard and Robert Pierce and wife, Drichelle; grandchild­ren, Mitchell, Mikayla, Dax, and Jesse; numerous other relatives; and many friends. Her mother, Coral Stupp died on January 16, 2018. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Carl Stupp; and brother, Tom Stupp.

She was born in 1945 in Minneapoli­s, MN and graduated from Southwest High School. Diane then attended the University of New Mexico where she received her BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Music Education. She taught for APS for 21 years, retiring in 1997. During that time her most beloved years were spent teaching chorus and explorator­y music at John Adams Middle School. Diane enjoyed performing in musical production­s, reading, entertaini­ng, painting with watercolor­s, singing, and more than anything, spending time with her family and friends. She had a strong Christian belief and sponsored youth groups with John for 30 years. Diane was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r, daughter, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10:30 a. m. at St. John’s UMC, 2626 Arizona NE. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Please visit our online guestbook for Diane at www.FrenchFune­rals.com
