Early Saturday morning, January 20, 2018, Michael Leslie Gallaghan, passed over from his earthly life. The absence of his presence will be grieved by many. He leaves behind his wife, Susanne, of 34 years; his daughter, Brandie Maes and her son, Quentin Maes; his daughter, Jaimi Sanchez, her husband, Miguel Sanchez and their children, Allyson and Kevin Sanchez. He is survived by his mother, Iris Dean Gallaghan; his sister, Tracey Barrett, her husband, Dave Barrett and their children, Lesley and Joey Barrett.

Michael was born in Longview, Washington, to Iris Dean Gallaghan and Arthur Leslie Gallaghan (who preceded him in death). Michael lived in Washington until he entered the Naval Corps, proudly serving from 19681974. He was stationed in Vietnam as In-Country Riverine Forces. He completed his service as Petty Officer 3rd Class, Boatswain’s Mate (Combat Veteran).

After three years of college, Michael chose to work in the industrial sector. His years of employment revealed many talents: mechanical technician, millwright, welder, fabricator, scuba diver and lastly as an instructor of welding.

Michael was a devoted husband and an exceptiona­l father. He will always be remembered by his loved ones as a good and faithful man.
