Herb H. Michel, Jr.

The doors of Heaven have opened to welcome Herb (Junior) Michel, age 56, of Albuquerque, NM who passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1:05 am, surrounded by family. He was born on Thursday, March 23, 1961 in Brownfield, Texas. He owned and operated All Seasons Heating And Air Conditioning Inc., and was a Navy veteran, serving from 1979-1983. He loved bowling, softball, and watching his Denver Broncos. He is survived by his parents, Heriberto Michel, Sr. and Benita Michel; loving wife, Beverly; sons, Army Capt. Vince Michel (wife Elizabeth) and Juan Romero; grandchildren, Alyssa, Grayson and Bryson; goddaughter, Nicole; sisters, Maria Lopez and Margaret Michel; brothers-in-law, Mark Mabry (wife Carol) and Ron Mabry; sister-in-law, Donna Mabry; along with Heidi, Mike, Kathy, Nick; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to the most caring and loving oncologist, Dr. Patt, who helped Herb through his long fought 10 year cancer journey; Dr. Belmonte and the Gastroenterology (GI), Interventional Radiology (IR) teams as well as the caring lab technicians, and staff at the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center and the UNM MICU Staff. Herb (Junior) will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him; he touched many lives.
