Linda J. Richardson

Linda J. Richardson, age 73, joined our heavenly Father on February 7, 2018. Born on March 21, 1944 and raised in Lake Charles, LA, she was the second of five children. Linda moved to the Land of Enchantment in 1967 when she married Hampton Richardson. Linda worked for State Farm Insurance before becoming a mother of two daughters.

She was an active volunteer at her children’s schools and eventually worked for Albuquerque Public Schools in many different capacities, retiring as a teacher’s assistant in 2014 from Sandia High School. Linda had been a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority since 1962. She was also very active in the Catholic community throughout her life, teaching catechism and volunteering at church. She enjoyed many activities including bowling, sorority, Red Hat Society, Lobo games and spending lots of time with friends and family. Linda knew what was important in life and lived by the motto, "the dishes can wait." Her generous heart touched many and she left this world a much better place for having her in it.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne-Marie Romero; son-in-law, Juan Romero; granddaughters, Sydney Collins and Mikaela Romero; daughter, Michelle Richardson; son-in-law, Matt Keigley; granddaughter, Morgan Keigley; and siblings, Pat and Donnella Judice.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – University. Services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
