Donald Lynn Bybee
Donald Lynn Bybee was born in Houston, Texas on March
15, 1945. He was
73 when he fell asleep in death from cancer on April 17, 2018. He knew he would sleep in death until he heard God’s voice to awake to a resurrection in paradise on earth.
He is survived by his five cherished children: Natasha, Adam, Charles, Ross and Andrea, who were always the gleam in his eye. He also loved their spouses Bill Light, Allana Bybee, Kiki Bybee, Mary Bybee and Travis Wisthoff. He adored his eight grandchildren, Katie Balonick and Brianne Light; Jaden Skinner and Ally Mortola; James and Max Bybee; Aiden and Lilliana Wisthoff. He also loved his two greatgrandchildren, Treyson and Brayden Balonick. Don grew up with and loved his sister and brother, Anita Jeannet and Harold Alfred Bybee.
As a great father, he watched over his entire family along with his loving wife Melinda Jobe Bybee. They were married as high school sweethearts on September 3, 1966.
His first job was at Red Bird Airport. He graduated from University of Texas at Arlington, then worked for a time at Texas Instruments as a quality control inspector. His final workplace was when he worked for LTV starting in 1967 to the present Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, Texas.
He worked at many top security sites across the country, from California to Massachusetts. With each project he made many close friends who enjoyed his corny humor and always kind words. He was a true old-fashioned gentleman and is loved by all who knew him.
He died on April 17, 2018 but he won’t be forgotten by his family or his lifelong buddies he kept in close touch with from grade school.
He was always a pleasure to be around and death was his only enemy.
