RAIN AT ISOTOPES PARK STOPS PLAY
Albuquerque’s Triple-A team will have to wait until July to resume its game against Fresno. The Isotopes were ahead 4-0 in the fourth inning.
The Isotopes are off today. They return to action Tuesday on the road at the Iowa Cubs.
Sunday: High winds, rain and hail led to Sunday’s game between the Fresno Grizzlies and Albuquerque Isotopes being suspended in the fourth inning at Isotopes Park.
The game will be made up in July when Fresno is scheduled to return to Albuquerque and will resume were it left off — 4-0, with the Isotopes leading in the fourth inning.
Tickets for Sunday’s game can be used as a rain check for any future non-restricted ’Topes game this season. Before the suspension, SS
Garrett Hampson homered in the first and starting pitcher
Yency Almonte had not allowed a run and two hits in 3⅔ innings.
GENEROUS PITCHING: The Isotopes pitching staff continues to lead all of professional baseball (all minor league levels and Major League Baseball) in home runs allowed. They allowed three more on Saturday night and are now at 92 allowed homers this season.
NEXT HOME STAND:
The Isotopes next play in Albuquerque June 13 when the team starts a seven game homestand (three against Memphis and four against Nashville).
