New roster numbers

Some text in a box published in Friday’s Journal was garbled. Here is the corrected box, which shows changes in roster numbers from 2017-18 to 2019-20. The new rosters should then comply with Title IX.

MEN SOCCER

Number of athletes cut: 29

SKIING

Number of athletes cut: 12

TRACK & FIELD*

Indoor will go from a roster of 31 to 20 Outdoor will go from a roster of 32 to 20

Cross country will go from a roster of 16 to 10 *some athletes compete in all 3 sports

FOOTBALL

Will go from 116 to 113

BASEBALL

Will go from 37 to 35

GOLF

Will go from 13 to 11

BASKETBALL

Stays the same at 16

TENNIS

Stays the same at 9

WOMEN BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Number of athletes cut: 17 (but some also play on the indoor volleyball team, which is not being cut)

VOLLEYBALL

Will go from 16 to 17

SKIING

Number of athletes cut: 8

SWIMMING/DIVING

Will go from 21 to 32 swimmers, while cutting five divers

BASKETBALL

Will go from 14 to 16

GOLF

Will go from 7 to 9

SOCCER

Will go from 36 to 35

TENNIS

Will go from 9 to 10

TRACK AND FIELD*

Cross country will go from 20 to 39

Indoor track will go from 43 to 65

Stays the same at 25
