Heinrich has raised the bar for future candidates

-

IN THE upcoming N.M. vote for a candidate for the Senate, New Mexico has an opportunity to continue its distinctive positioning in the quality of people that it elects to political office. In the recent past James Lewis stood out as a person of consummate integrity who not only fulfilled the ethical responsibilities of his office but also elevated the standards that raised the bar for the Office of Treasurer. This is what New Mexico expects and deserves in its candidates for responsible elected officials.

One candidate for the Senate is little more than a ski potato who knows little about the world and less about reality. It was his (ex-)wife who was the major contributor to the building of his business and the person responsible for eliminating the scourge of tobacco smoking in the Capitol Building. His treatment of his first wife is indicative of his shallow attitude toward women. He should live out the remainder of his life as a ski potato on the ski slopes. Another candidate has demonstrated that he cannot fulfill his business and contractual commitments. Send him back to school for Business 101.

(U.S. Sen.) Martin Heinrich has demonstrated in his life, his perspective, his ethics, his integrity ... that he has brought both sensibility and distinctiveness to his role as a senator. He has raised the bar for future candidates. It would be great if we could vote for Martin for president in 2020, but it is monumentally important that he be returned to the Senate this November.
