PETS OF THE WEEK

-

ESPAÑOLA HUMANE

Come to Española Humane to check out two fabulous felines looking for wonderful, loving homes. First off, meet

Divinity. She is such a beauty. She enjoys chin scratches, sitting next to you and window watching. Her special features are that she is an affectionate girl who adores attention from her people, but she does need her own space at times. She has done well with her litterbox and with other cats here. She is looking for a home with lots of time for her. She is 9 weeks old, spayed and ready for her new home.

Then take some time to meet Mac. He is looking for the purrfect companion. Mac is a 5-month-old neutered male who came in as a stray. He adores a good petting session from his favorite humans. He is described as “very sweet” and “kind” by our volunteers. He enjoys sunfilled windows to soak up the warmth. He can become chatty in a calm and quiet environment with plenty of love. He is great with other cats, so a new sibling would be a plus. He would love a new home with a loving family.

These two and many others may be adopted daily from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at Española Humane, 108 Hamm Parkway in Española. 505-753-8662. To see more adoptable pets, log on to www. evalleyshelter.org or www.petango.com.

Come to the coffee cart and share the story of how you met your beloved canine companion. The video camera is running. Saturday, 8-11 a.m., at the Frank Ortiz Dog Park, 160 El Camino De Las Crucitas in Santa Fe.

SANTA FE HUMANE SOCIETY

Stop by the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society to meet Dream. She is a 9-month-old sweetheart who weighs about 40 pounds and may add 10 or more pounds as she gets older. Dream is a loving, affectionate girl who just wants to have cuddle sessions and nice long walks. She has done well with other dogs in the shelter so if you have a dog in the home, bring them on in to have a meet ’n greet today!

This week’s feline is named Soul. She is a beautiful medium-hair tortoiseshell kitty. She is a year old and weighs in at a compact 8 pounds. Soul is sweet and has eyes of gold that suggest that she has a heart to match. Come and meet Soul today.

These and other animals are available for adoption from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Rd. The shelter’s adoption hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. See these and others up for adoption online at www. sfhumanesociety.org or call 983-4309 ext. 610.
